Fred Poulet

Fred Poulet met Pierre Barouh in 1992 in Saravah, an exceptional label which launched star like Jacques Higelin or Brigitte Fontaine. There, Fred records 3 albums and make himself a name. This way he manages to do his first steps behind the camera by producing music videos in 1996 and 1997. The meeting with Rodolphe Burger, leader of Kat Onoma, help Fred realising his first music video for an other artist in 2001.

Since then, he shares his time between personnal albums records and music videos shooting for other artists and himself and writing for others.

With Substitute by his sides; he realises his first feature movie, a focus on the daily life of the footbllplayer Vikash Dhorasso until the day of the Worldcup last game,  which was rewarded in prestigious festivals. Then it’s Fucking making off of Mamouth than make him famous. Chantiez is his first film in 35mm.

En 1992, Fred Poulet rejoint Pierre Barouh à Saravah, label hors norme ayant lancé Jacques Higelin ou encore Brigitte Fontaine. Fred y enregistre trois albums et se bâtit une notoriété grâce au tube musico-sportif Walking Indurain. C’est également Saravah qui lui donne l’occasion de faire ses premiers pas derrière la caméra en produisant ses clips en 1996 et 1997. La rencontre avec Rodolphe Burger, leader de Kat Onoma, permet à Fred de réaliser en 2001 son premier clip de commande pour un autre artiste. Il partage depuis cette période son temps entre l’enregistrement d’albums personnels (Milan AC, le dernier en date, paru Chez Label Bleu en 2004), la réalisation de clips pour lui-même ou d’autres artistes (Piers Faccini, Las Ondas Marteles, Franck Monnet) et l’écriture pour d’autres interprètes (Seb Martel, Jeanne Balibar). Avec Substitute, il réalise son premier long métrage, sélectionné et primé dans quelques prestigieux festivals, filmant le quotidien du footballeur Vikash Dhorasso jusqu’au 9 juillet 2006, jour de la finale de la Coupe du Monde à Berlin, opposant l’équipe de France à celle de l’Italie. Puis c’est avec le Fucking making of de Mamouth qu’il est présent dans de nombreux festivals. Le film Chantiez est sa première réalisation en 35mm.
